Allchin Demos: 'People Near Me'

Jim Allchin and Darryn Dieken, group product manager at Microsoft, gave a brief demo of a new technology known as "People Near Me"," which will allow for peer-to-peer collaboration. Through drag and drop functionality, Allchin and Dieken were able to work on a demo PowerPoint presentation in real-time on different computers over a network connection.

People Near Me can be used in any application through simple Windows Vista APIs. It is also IPv6 compatible and uses Microsoft's PeerNet network protocol that is part of Indigo.
